Shakthi is a “work in progress” produced by Soorya Dance Company.

Shakthi is a Bharathanatyam presentation of the goddesses of Hindu culture. Shakthi is strength, strength is knowledge,  knowledge is wealth.

Shakthi is the energy from whom the entire human life evolves. Shakthi is Sri Lakshmi who was born out of  the Ksheera Sagara symbolizing rejuvenation, wisdom and prosperity. Shakthi is Sri Saraswathi who is the mother of knowledge. Shakthi is Sri Amba who is the giver of strength and courage to all human beings. Shakthi is culmination of the power of all the three. It’s a glowing celebration of women, a triumph of strength.
