It has small dances of fun, which will involve the audience. It will shake their hearts when the human elements are highlighted. It's a different show for a traditionalist, but it's an enjoyment for an art enthusiast.

Ravi Shankar (Chicago)

on Mrudangam (Indian Drums)
and by Manjula Rao (Chicago) on violin

Anubhava Mantapa
Anubhava Mantapa means "the hall of experience". This is an inspiring collection of six dances based on the teaching of Sharanas (great social reformist and philosophers of 15th century, India). Just as the juice for a plant, fragrance for a flower, ferocity for an ocean wave, the mortal life has the support of spiritual energy. Great Sharanas portrayed this eternal truth through their immortal Vachanas (poetry) which are relevant to all the time. These dances are a brave attempt to build the bridge between ancient thoughts - Vachanas and present life situations with a satire.
