Fees and Charges


Monthly Fee
$95 (For 8 lessons per month - 4 mandatory learning lessons + 4 optional practice sessions) $70 (4 Group lessons) for Carnatic music classes
FALL Semester fee (Aug 3rd week  - December 3rd week)
Before Sept 1st - $427.50 for (18 new Lessons in Group+ 18 Practice lessons in Group ) After Sept 1st - $447.50 for (18 new Lessons in Group+ 18 Practice lessons in Group )
SPRING Semester fee (Jan 2nd Week - June 2nd Week)
Before Feb 1st - Spring Fee - $570 for (24 new lessons in Group + 24 Practice lessons in Group + Exam fees) After Feb 1st - Spring Fee - $590 for (24 new lessons in Group + 24 Practice lessons in Group + Exam Fees)
SUMMER Semester (June 3rd Week - August 2nd Week)
Summer classes will be held on a regular basis except for long weekends. This semester will have 8 weeks   - Summner class fee - $190
SUMMER WORKSHOPS

Workshops are Conducted for seriously interested students, who wish to progress using summer vacation. Each day the workshops will be held for 2 hours only. It will be conducted 5 days a week.

Workshop 1: June 27 - July 1  Bharathanatyam, Kathak & Carnatic Music
Workshop 2: June 11 - July 15 Bharathanatyam, Kathak & Carnatic Music
Workshop 3: July 18 - July 22  Bharathanatyam, Kathak & Carnatic Music
Workshop 4: June 25 - July 29  Bharathanatyam, Kathak & Carnatic Music
Workshop 5: Aug 1st  - Aug 5th Bharathanatyam, Kathak & Carnatic Music

Fee:  $150 each session - Only maximum of 6 people allowed in each session
Arangetram /Private
$60 for 60 minute lesson or $100 for 120 minute lesson
Discounts
10% discount from the same family for the second kid / 10% discount if attending two styles for the second style /(Only one discount will be allowed at any time.).
Annual Performance Fee
Every student must pay $150 - annual performance fee. It will be collected either at the beginning of admission of the student or at the Beginning of Fall Semester. It includes free admissions to all Soorya Performing Series and two tickets to all dance, music festivals.
Eligibility for Annual Performance
Students must be attending the class atleast for two semesters OR get teacher's approval.
Makeup Class Policy
Classes missed by the teachers due to their performances or tours will be re-scheduled. No classes will be rescheduled for weather or health related cancellations such as severe hospitalization or snow/thunder storms/earthquakes/natural calamities. There is no make-up class for individual students missing the classes, because of their private commitments.
Who will teach?
Teaching is done by Gurus themselves. Since these Gurus are also performing artists, during their absence, it will be conducted by qualified substitute teachers. These substitute teachers are picked by Gurus themselves.

Soorya Performing Arts is a not-for-profit organization working towards bringing awareness of Indian classical dance, music and theater. Any donation to this institute is tax deductible.
